Beer description
Lowlander Yuzu & Grapefruit Beer A craft beer based on Gose from the Netherlands with yuzu, grapefruit and earl gray tea: refreshing, light, exotic, fruity. Lowlander Yuzu & Grapefruit Beer History The Lowlander Brewery's herb and spice beers pay homage to the Dutch Golden Age, when seafarers came back from a long sea journey with loads of rich spices and herbs. Based on Gose from a top-fermentation brewing process, herbs, spices and real fruits are added as brewing additives. Yuzu fruits from Japan are used here: complex citrus flavor that already delights the star cuisine. Complemented by the spiciness and tropical fruitiness of the 'pink grapefruit' and the bergamot note from the Earl Gray tea, which gives a nice counterpoint to the mass of citrus notes. Botanical is the name of this type of beer production that uses natural, fresh ingredients. What does the Lowlander Yuzu & Grapefruit beer look like and how does it smell? This spiced beer full of citrus aromas smells light gold and cloudy with white foam. What does Lowlander Yuzu & Grapefruit taste like? The first taste is very refreshing, sourly fruity like kiwi, lime, tangerine, tingles on the tongue and is delicately salty, underlaid with a slight spiciness of grapefruit combined with exotic notes of yuzu and bergamot. The finish remains fruity, refreshing, dry and light with only 2.5% alcohol volume. Very juicy, soft and exotic without bitterness and very thirst-quenching, it is the ideal entry-level beer for newbies and craft beer fans. What is the ideal drinking temperature for Lowlander Yuzu & Grapefruit beer? Dutch beer tastes best at 8-10 ° C from a normal drinking glass. What does the Lowlander Yuzu & Grapefruit beer go best with? The ideal beer as a summer refreshment and as a complement to grilled fish and grilled seafood or deep-fried mussels. The beer could also be a good basis for a beer punch with sweet fruits like pineapple and melon. Also nice with fresh salads with fruits such as figs, with goat cheese, honey and nuts or with very creamy sauces like hollandaise.
