Birrificio della Granda - Be Grapeful with MOOR - IGA Barley W*ne | 2023 #2

The second beer of the BE GRAPEFUL project. This is a series of international collaborations in which we invited famous European brewers to create original reinterpretations of the Italian Grape Ale (IGA) style. For this beer, we collaborated with MOOR, a historic English microbrewery that brought the tradition of the classic Barley W*ne style. The vinification took place on March 17, 2023 at Birrificio della Granda in Lagnasco. Thus, together we have produced an IGA with a high alcohol content of 12% and an intense golden color, combining malty and alcoholic notes with a body reminiscent of a dry white wine, in which the aromatic and fruity notes of muscatel from the Vite Colte winery in Barolo are the absolute protagonists: Hints of pear and white-fleshed fruit.
