Cardinal Red honors the history of Cardinal Brewing Company who helped blaze a path for West Virginia craft brewing in the 1990’s. This Scottish ale presents itself with a fresh floral hop aroma with earthy tones of malt in the nose. The pallet is treated to a strong Scottish malt profile with mild notes of roasted malt. This medium bodied beer finishes slightly sweet with malted barley being the primary taste note.
