Beer description
This is a 50/50 blend of Golden russet and Roxbury russet apples. Roxbury Russet is generally recognized to be the oldest apple variety which originated in North America, and its history can be traced back to the colonial era. The origins of Golden Russet are not clear but it arose in upstate New York in the 19th century, possibly derived from an English russet variety. With this blend we used a more tropical flavored wine yeast to add to the acids and beautiful aroma/flavor that the russet has to offer.
