Beer description
For our 11th Anniversary Reserve barrel aged stout, we chose from a selection of Old Fitzgerald wheated bourbon barrels. This 12.3% imperial stout started as a big double mash, overnight boil, behemoth of a beer that has been aging for 29 months until tasting just right. Expect an aromatic nose with notes of vanilla, baking spices, and leather. The flavor matches the nose along with notes of bakers chocolate, barrel character, roastiness, and chocolate covered raisins, with some acidity and a lingering sweetness.
