Beer description
Stendec is much more than a NEIPA. It's, above all, a collaboration between friends. Kevin and Basil are Finback, from Queens, New York, one of the most internationally renowned craft breweries, and this is the third time we've brewed something together. And as always, working with them again is an absolute pleasure. We love their project, we're crazy about their beers, and above all, we love sharing time, ideas, and tanks with people like them.
In terms of beer, Stendec is a truly exceptional brew. A hop-heavy NEIPA, but well-crafted, where every element contributes and nothing is superfluous. It kicks off with bright tropical fruit and fresh citrus, with Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin setting the tone from the very first aroma. On the palate, layers of stone fruit and more mature nuances emerge, with Idaho 7 adding body and Simcoe finishing with that resinous touch that lends depth and character.
The body is silky and enveloping, ample yet very controlled. The carbonation is subtle without overpowering, and the bitterness, present but polished, harmonizes the whole and leaves a clean finish that invites another sip.
Stendec is collaboration, it's friendship, it's sharing a way of understanding beer… and luckily, it's damn good. A NEIPA with depth, balance, and soul, made between San Sebastián and New York, but enjoyable anywhere.
