Beer description
La Guernouillette de Mars is a dark beer brewed by Brasserie la Guernouillette in Saint-Brieuc in the Côtes-d'Armor department. It is an abbey beer with abbey yeast (Westmalle). It has a beige color and a creamy, thick and long-lasting foam. The color is very dark with ruby red reflections, almost brown. You're already beginning to see the connection to the chocolate bar that inspired this beer and whose reference can be found on the label. The aroma profile revolves around notes of chocolate, roasted coffee and caramel, thus offering a very malty nose that makes you want to dip your lips to explore more. In the mouth one might expect a beer with a lot of body, nevertheless one discovers a beer with a rather light, yet relatively powerful texture, with notes of coffee and liquorice. It is long on the finish and offers a rather bitter and toasty finish.
