Guernouillette Stout Impérial Russe is a stout beer brewed by the Brasserie de la Guernouillette in St-Brieuc, in the Côtes d'Armor department (22). It has a beautiful opaque ebony black color. The foam doesn't last very long, which is a shame because it has a subtle coffee color that one would like to enjoy longer. On the nose it unfolds notes of roasted cereals and coffee as well as roasted malt. What's even more amazing is that it has light spice and pepper notes that are subtle and pleasant. In the mouth it unfolds its coffee aromas and a slight acidity. In the finish, one discovers the presence of a pleasant bitterness.
