Every barrel and beer aged within has a story. This special barrel-aged gingerbread stout has been patiently aging for several months in American single-malt whiskey barrels from Virginia Distillery Co. The approach to this barrel-aged GBS is a bit different than normal, spicing the imperial milk stout prior to the aging process to impart our famed gingerbread stout flavors into the barrel staves. After emptying the barrels, we will return them to Virginia Distillery Co. where they will be used as finishing barrels for one of their fine spirits. A delicious story indeed! Family Tree exclusive.
