Beer description
We have aged our long boil Barlwywine recipe in Basil Hayden bourbon barrels for 9 months before letting this see the light of day. Brewed with only Maris Otter Malt and boiled for a mind blowing 5 hours provides intense caramelization of malt sugars in the kettle. The wort from this beer changes from a light colored amber to a rich ruby color during the boil, and gets even further color as it ages in the barrel.
