Beer description
This beer is a combination of Golden Strong Ale aged in Grape Brandy Barrels and fresh Golden Strong Ale. In the barrels for 19 months, the aged half of the blend provides a deep and warming port-like quality to the beer. Fresh Golden Strong Ale comprises the second half of the beer and tempers the intensity; offering a perfect canvas to add Virginia concord grapes, whole Madagascar vanilla bean, and toasted coconut. The result is a dessert beer beer that pairs perfectly with the Hardywood's 11th anniversary ale, Birthday Sammich.
