Beer description
Hefeweizen is a traditional Bavarian wheat ale. Hefe means yeast, and Weizen means wheat. These beers are characterized by strong aromas and flavors of banana and clove, produced by the yeast rather than the grain. The wheat contributes a hazy golden appearance and a creamy head. Hefeweizen, made to inaugurate patio season is extremely traditional except for the addition of American Citra hops that give the beer its lemony character.
