Hop Hooligans - Old Man Frost

With the season closing in and the impending chilly tremors and frostbites, we though a nice, warming, no fuss, no BS Winter Ale should make its return. OLD MAN FROST demands your attention. A deep mahogany British-inspired ale, fortified at 8%, with rich biscuity specialty malts and notes of dried raisin and woody spices. But you know us. It doesn't end there. We stewed this bad boy on top of fresh, feisty American C-hops, bringing notes of candied grapefruit peel, thickened pine resin with needles still stuck in there, and a clear hop pellet character that lingers on the palate, helped by the rich, smooth maltiness. A thing of beauty and of balance, really. Works well with fluffy socks.
