Beer description
Kappeler Kloster Hell "Huldrych
The light one among the Kappeler Kloster beers;
top fermented, golden yellow, naturally cloudy -
fresh taste and with a fine hint of hops.
The "Huldrych" is a solid "Helles" for all situations and every occasion - not that you need a special occasion to enjoy a Huldrych!
In terms of taste and colour, this beer lies somewhere between Kölsch, Belgian Amber and modern IPAs. It tends to be a little hoppier than many Belgians, but it's also not quite as strongly brewed.
So our Huldrych is inspired by great beers of famous brown nations - and yet, a local one through and through!
Brewed at Eheren by Huldrych Zwingli, the Zurich reformer. He fell in the Battle of Kappel on 11 October 1531.
