Beer description
When summer is really picking up speed here in Europe, winter is beginning in distant New Zealand. June, July and August are the coldest months there and even snow falls in parts of the country. The winter season, even if it takes place at a completely different time, is very similar to ours: people are moving life indoors, coziness is on the agenda and activities such as drinking warm cocoa, sledding, visiting museums and meeting friends are high in the course. The perfect beer to go with it is ICE BREAKER BREWING's Winter In Wellington. The India Pale Ale comes with a soul-flattering 7.0% alcohol content and is brewed exclusively with hop varieties from New Zealand. The fine green umbels come from the Pikimai hop farm in the south of the island. Pikimai is family run and practices a harmonious blend of conventional and organic farming. The health of the soil plays a major role and gives the six hop varieties their unique taste. For Winter In Wellington, the French brewers used the Nelson Sauvin, Wakatu, New Zealand Cascade and Motueka varieties. The hops intensively shape the smell and taste of the IPA and provide aromas of freshly cut herbs, tropical fruits and white grapes.
