Christmas beer, with a rounded body. In the mouth, it appears sweet, with hints of shortbread, gingerbread and baked apple, all balanced by the tart freshness typical of wheat beers. What would Christmas be without our weizen doppelbock?. TO THE FACE: It displays a beautiful, deep coppery colour and the decisive haze that characterises the Weizen family; also perfectly adhering to the stylistic perimeters is the abundant and persistent blanket of foam with its striking brick colour. On the nose: hints of rennet apple and ripe abbot pear which, together with the biscuity imprint of wildflower honey and shortcrust pastry, create a suggestion of apple pie, an evocation heightened by the spicy hints of cinnamon and vanilla, which emerge if the beer is allowed to warm for a few minutes. On the palate: the carbonation is fine and of medium intensity, while the body is rounded. The mouthfeel is sweet, with hints of shortbread, gingerbread and baked apple, all balanced by an acidic freshness, characteristic of wheat beers.
