Beer description
Lambic EichenfassFor beer brewers, the creeper hop is a sacred plant. Almost all hops are now grown further south than our latitudes, but since the Middle Ages hops have been grown for brewing beer on most Norwegian farms. In our light and bright IPA Helgen, we have carefully selected our American hop favourites, and we have made an easy-drinking, over-fermented beer with a fresh hop aroma.
In the old days, all farms had a farm boy or farm boy, who helped with small and large tasks. The female counterpart of the boy was a rope. The boy worked mostly outside, and the rope had more work indoors. Dreng is a light beer with an emphasis on the fruity and slightly spicy flavours that only Belgian monastery yeast in open vats can give. This fresh beer goes equally well with seafood and light vegetarian dishes as it does on its own.
