a Trappe PUUR is Skal certified and brewed with green energy. That's why Father Abbot decided to call it PUUR (which means "pure" in Dutch). The organically grown hop is bought directly from the farmers. Already in 1884 the monks founded the Onze Lieve Vrouw of Koningshoeven Abbey in Berkel-Enschot a brewery to support themselves. Only high quality, organic ingredients were used. The result is a fresh-hoppy, pleasantly drinkable Trappist beer with a dry and slightly malty taste.
