Beer description
Barrel aged dark beer with apple-pear syrup.
Together with our friends from Norwegian brewery Eik&Tid, we made a dark, rich, sour beer which we barrel aged for 23 months on Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. We used Eik&Tid's own house culture with kveik which they brought to our brewery when visiting. 3 months before bottling, we added local organic apple-pear syrup of de Lindegaard orchard. The deep caramel tones and fruity notes work great with the vanilla and coffee tones of the beer and bourbon barrels.
