Kykao - Flemish & Mavrodaphnee Barleywine Blend

Blending two of our best brews was an interesting challenge! The result luckily combines the best of each world! It’s a peak into the past of how beer used to be and people at that time were bold as were their beers! A nose both delicate but bold as hell, with vinous dried fruit, raisins and light caramel maltiness jumping out of the glass, a mouth that's much more than medium bodied and warm-ish, but with a beautifully balanced acidity that will hide the alcohol! A barrel aged English Barleywine with a strong Mavrodaphnee character and with a crazy interesting acidity boosting the complexity! That's what you get when you blend our two best brews Flemish Red Ale and Mavrodaphnee English Barleywine!
