Beer description
It's a bitter one!
The Grosse-Terre lighthouse in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez is one of the last major lighthouses built in France. It was erected in 1972, stands 17 metres high and can be seen for up to 18 nautical miles, or 33 kilometres. Just a stone's throw from the lighthouse is the Villa Grosse-Terre. From its gardens, which are open to the general public, you can admire the emblematic Pilours rock at the entrance to the port of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
