La "5", named La Cinque (Batch No. 5) for the american market, is the flagship beer of L’Olmaia and the firstborn both at home and in the brewery. Complexity in simplicity: Pils Malt and only noble hops for their ‘house’ beer. It pours a bright yellow color with a compact and rich head. The nose hints of herbal notes from the hops and floral sensations, as well as a subtle sweetness that suggests honey. After the sweet opening, in the mouth, the hop bitterness comes in big strides, dominating the finish. A balanced, elegant and very drinkable beer. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, fermented in the bottle and keg.
