Beer description
An American Amber Ale for the second edition!
The Entre 2 ombres American Amber Ale is the second edition of the collaboration between Tony Misiaszek (Le Marchand de Bière / Biozh) and the Brasserie de l'Ombre. After their Black IPA in 2017, they put the fourquet together again for our greatest pleasure ! Let's see what happens to this 2019 recipe at 60 IBU, with Styrian Wolf hops as bitter and Centennial and Fuggles as aromatic.
The foam is not very abundant and not very persistent. The robe is very dark amber, almost brown. On the nose, one can distinguish the resinous aromas typical of Centennial hops combined with malty notes (toasted/roasted). There are also earthy notes more characteristic of Fuggle. On the palate, one is struck by the bitterness, very present, both citrusy (grapefruit) and resinous. This bitterness lingers in the mouth for a long time. In the foreground, we find malty notes (chocolate) and notes of lean cocoa (which also contributes to the bitterness surely). It is a beer with a texture that is not necessarily thick, but which still has body.
