Beer description
This barrel has had quite the journey. Starting out its life aging Oloroso sherry in Montilla, Spain. It then came to Seattle to age Copperworks Gin for 250 days to produce their first sherry-barrel gin batch. After gin, we got the barrel and aged our Belgian-style quad in it for two years. The result is a strong, hazy, brown ale with big aromas of Belgian stone fruit, sherry-like notes of honey, walnuts, almonds, balsamic, and oatmeal raisin cookies and some mild gin aromatic notes of pine, lemon and spices.
