Beer description
Sour mead made with orange blossom honey, lemon zest and juice, and vanilla beans. A variant of the first experimental batch of sour mead from the Fermatorium. Backsweetening (adding sugar after completion and stabilization of fermentation) with orange blossom honey as nice complimentary citrus sweetness to the tartness of the sour base. The additions of the lemon and vanilla beans balance each other for tartness and sweetness, leaving hints of the taste of a lemon dessert. This makes for a nice easy drinking mead that feels similar to kettle-soured beers.
