Maisel & Friends - Hopfenreiter #11 (2026)

For the eleventh time, the Maisel & Friends team in Bayreuth has invited fellow brewers to join them in brewing the Hopfenreiter. It has become a cherished tradition for guests to bring their own hops, which influence the aroma of the Double IPA. This gives the Hopfenreiter a different aromatic profile year after year. The 2026 edition features six breweries and six different hop varieties. Hopfenreiter #11 captivates right from the aroma with a tropical fruit bouquet of peach, mango, pineapple, mandarin, star fruit, and citrus, and the first sip follows through with peach, pineapple, grapefruit, and lime on a soft, full-bodied palate. The finish brings out blueberry, passion fruit, and a hint of pepper, accompanied by a harmonious bitterness that’s just right for a Double IPA.
