Maisel & Friends - Hopfenreiter #7 (2022)

Since 2016, different breweries from around the world have been coming together to contribute their personally selected hop varieties to our popular Double IPA. The result, year after year, is a unique collaborative beer with an international character. In 2022, the following breweries participated and were mostly present at the brew day themselves: - Jester from Samuel Smith’s Brewery (United Kingdom) - HBC 431 from True Brew Brewing Co. (Germany) - HBC 630 from Braukollektiv (Germany) - Monroe from Kuehn Kunz Rosen (Germany) - Simcoe by Pivovar Zichovec (Czech Republic) - Solero by Maisel & Friends with the kind support of Hopsteiner (Germany) Hopfenreiter #7 (2022): Amber-colored and slightly cloudy, Hopfenreiter #7 presents itself in the glass, while its creamy and voluminous head makes beer lovers’ hearts beat faster. Immediately after pouring, a wonderful potpourri of tropical fruits wafts up to the nose. Mango and passion fruit lead the way, but they are soon joined by pleasant aromas of red forest berries, strawberry, blueberry, citrus, pineapple, and orange peel. The very first sip brings a smile to the connoisseur’s face, as a soft creaminess and a harmonious, style-typical bitterness unfold. The fruity aromas are also reflected in the flavor and delight the palate.
