Beer description
This Russian imperial Stout is a barrel-refined beer for 6 months; specialty of our aging cellar. An exclusive beer, characterized by the aroma of fruity esters, reminiscent of red fruits, which integrates with an intense toasted and malty aroma. Hop aroma is also usually present. The flavor has intense fruit and malt character, supported by a balanced toasted aroma and a bitter taste derived from hops. A character of "burnt raisins" can be present, in the company of a hint of cocoa or strong coffee. The alcohol content should be evident, in the company of a deep and complex malt aroma. The finish can vary from relatively dry to moderately sweet, normally with some lingering toast and a feeling of warmth (due to the alcohol content). A very full and rich body, with intense flavors and a perceptible presence of alcohol. Carbonation is relatively low.
Hops
East Kent Golding aromatic hop, Motueka aromatic hop
