Beer description
Taste profile.
A light and aromatic IPA with a dry yeast-derived mouthfeel combined with slightly sweet citrus and coconut-like hop flavors.
Origin of the name
Ballito brings a sparkling brightness to the Ball family with his spirited personality, along with his sister, Marina, with whom he is very close. While he spends his days as a young man with a sense of freedom and versatility, he also thinks seriously about his own life and talks passionately about romance.
Brewer's voice
The many Belgian IPAs that we have brewed in the Ball family series have shown that we can make a wide variety of interesting beers depending on what hops we cross with our house yeast (Belgian yeast). This Baller also blends a very distinctive New Zealand hop with Citra, a leading American hop, to create a character like never before.
The base beer is extremely simple and light, designed with oats malt for a smooth mouthfeel. The spotlight then turns to a blend of hops: Riwaka, which brings a unique and appealing fruitiness, and Sabro, which has herbal and coconut-like nuances. These hops also enhance the aroma of the house yeast in a well-balanced manner, while Citra brings sweet citrus aromas and flavors to the palate, bringing everything together nicely. The dry, light mouthfeel and juicy hop flavor and aroma make this a perfect IPA for the hot summer months.
