Beer description

In Greek mythology, Charon was the one who would ferry souls across the rivers of the underworld and into the afterlife. At Martin House, Charon the beer is a 16% imperial stout aged in brandy barrels. Fans of Martin House will appreciate that Charon is really just a bigger and badder version of our first ever barrel-aged release: Acheron. Charon was aged in brandy barrels for 3.5 months. It's the highest abv beer we've ever released into the wild. This beer is 100% unblended for maximum flavor. That means the beer you drink out of this can came straight from the barrel untouched. The end result is a molasses like, thick-as-motor oil, imperial stout that is not for the faint of heart. This year, we celebrate 7 years of MHBC. So here's a cheers to you, our loyal fans, for supporting us on this insane and wonderful journey. Drink up!
