Mikkeller x Auld Hag: Auld Pale 4.5% Heather Pale
‘Auld Pale’ is our modern take on a Heather Ale—brewed with dried heather and heather honey, nodding to pre-hop brewing traditions.
Built on Marris Otter, wheat, and Carared for a clear base with caramel and strawberry notes, and balanced with Germanic hops and a touch of Simcoe in the whirlpool for pine.
Dry-hopped with Callista for sweet fruit and floral aromas to complement the heather and honey.
We also used a Scottish water profile to make this beer especially authentic.
Tasting Notes: lavender, red berries, fresh flowers, slightly herbal
Allergens: Malted barely, wheat (gluten)
