Beer description
We aged this imperial stout blend in freshly-emptied domestic brandy barrels for a year and a half before finishing in bourbon barrels for another 8 months. We then loaded it with 8 lbs/bbl of Smyrna figs and 3 lbs/bbl of Dominican cacao nibs. Assertive notes of brandy and bourbon are rounded by the earthy, subtle notes of figs and capped off by rich cocoa. Its a gloriously complex beer with some of the most expressive barrel-character we’ve ever achieved.
