We took this premium Imperial Stout and aged it for 33 months in Bourbon Barrels before racking it onto Okinawan Black Sugar and Dominican Cocoa Nibs.
Okinawan Black Sugar is a unique type of sugar made by growing sugarcane on coral-rich soil, boiling the sugarcane juice in open air for hours in gigantic copper pots, then allowing it to cool and harden into bricks. The result is jet-black sugar with a deep, intense flavor of malt and hints of maritime salinity.
