Considering how much the Special Projects team enjoyed last year's wine-inspired Oracle of the Bottle, we thought we would embark on a similar journey for this beer. Back in September, during the 2022 wine grape harvest we were able to procure and hand-harvest both Syrah and Petite Syrah grapes from some local vineyards in Jamul... 1,926 lbs. to be exact. We then carbonically macerated these grapes before adding a blend of a dark Saison aged in red wine & sherry barrels and a Brett Saison aged in an American-oak foeder. After an extended aging process directly on the grapes with skins, the resulting beer is a gorgeous, deep red delight. Packed with jammy dark cherry notes, and tannic black currant notes
