Valmiermuizas Alus - Namejs (Tumšais Medalus)

The dark brew pours into the glass with a golden brown head. The nose has notes of freshly mown hay and sweet spices, with honeyed caramel. The caramel burnt in the full-bodied wood-roasted malt is coloured by the rich bouquet of Latvian honey. Moments later, the symphony of flavours is joined by the floral meadow blossom of noble 'Hallertauer Mittelfrüh' hops and the clean, subtle bitterness of 'Nugget' hops, complemented by the oriental echo of ginger. In the long aftertaste, the interplay of herbal bitterness and sugary sweetness.
