Beer description
Squib Cakes is blended from two golden ales brewed with imported floor malted Pilsner, raw wheat, malted rye, and aged hops. After aging for several months in French oak puncheons, Squib Cakes is refermented on heaps of wild blueberries. The blueberries lend a deep magenta hue and aromatics of wood and earth; on the palate Squib Cakes delivers complex tangy fruit notes along a back drop of intense funk and balanced acidity from their mixed culture.
