"I want more pizza!" - Pizza Hawaii IPA in New England style with lots of hops, pineapple puree, smoked malt, smoked salt, and pizza spices.
Together with our boys from Cologne, Lieber Waldi, we have written the second chapter of our pizza beer saga. After the "Italian Pilsner Pizza Style," we wanted to try something new - and have brought the most debated pizza in the world into liquid form.
"I want more pizza!" is a juicy New England IPA with a creamy-soft body made from barley, wheat, and oat malt. Full-bodied, round, and intense in flavor.
Dry-hopped with BRU-1, Sultana, and Vic Secret - all varieties that deliver intense pineapple and tropical fruit notes. In addition, pineapple puree is added for even more fruitiness and texture, as well as a generous amount of pizza spices that are not just for decoration. They are noticeable, spicy, herbaceous, and are meant to really enhance the "pizza imagination." A touch of smoked malt and smoked salt rounds everything off and brings a subtle "prosciutto" association.
The sweetness of the pineapple, the creamy IPA texture, the subtle smokiness, and the spicy herbal note all complement each other and are as harmonious in flavor as a "real Pizza Hawaii" - or what do you think?
