Orca - Kopfkino (2026)

Kopfkino is an Imperial Saison brewed together with and for the Nuremberg Michelin-starred restaurant Tisane. Originally created as a house beer there, but too exciting to only be enjoyed there, so here it is for all of you. Kopfkino is fermented with Belle Saison, a classic saison yeast that ferments the beer very dry and gives it its own unique character: crisp, peppery, spicy, and slightly yeasty, with bright fruit, herbs, and a wonderfully lively, fine and pleasant effervescence that is not too strong but rather delicately sparkling. Despite its 8.5% ABV, the beer does not feel heavy or sweet, but surprisingly slim, fresh, and elegant. A fine addition of New Zealand hop Nelson Sauvin in the whirlpool adds a subtle accent and brings some floral and bright fruit notes into play that lean towards Sauvignon Blanc or Champagne. However, this is done without overpowering the typical saison aromas. The result is complex, intense, and precise – a beer that pairs excellently with food, but also has a lot to tell on its own.
