Beer description
r(i)ot - Nuremberg red beer - malty, drinkable, Franconian - a classic from Nuremberg.
A classic bottom-fermented, malt-focused beer that was once a key part of Nuremberg's beer culture - long before light lagers took over the city. Red beers were considered strong, nourishing, and particularly durable and were typical of the region for centuries.
r(i)ot is brewed in a classic Franconian style, without modern gimmicks. Six different malts provide the characteristic reddish-brown color as well as flavors of caramel, bread crust, and a hint of red berries that come through from the use of the "Ariana" hops in the whirlpool.
Despite its depth and maltiness, the beer is very drinkable. A true Franconian beer with character, history, and drinkability.
