Pöhjala - Cellar Series Kurg

A bold and brooding imperial stout aged in alder wood smoked whisky barrels. Taste: Very full-bodied and powerful. The initial alder smoke flavor is balanced by sweet chocolate, nuts, and dark toffee. The finish reveals a pleasant warmth of alcohol, leaving a gently spicy glow in the mouth. Appearance: A dark brown beer with a small but well-retaining brown head. Nose: Delicately smoky, sweetly chocolatey, with a hint of tobacco. In the background, a slightly tart coffee note can also be detected.
