Pours almost pitch black with very large head. Aroma: typical rye aroma coupled with dark roasted malt and a touch of lactose. Taste: dark malt, some hoppy in the palate, with a very high carbonation disturbing the experience. I drank this one a week after its BBD, so not sure if the carbonation is a result of that, but it is definitely too high for a stout.
