Beer description
Our tribute to, and interpretation of the Belgian Trappist style quad, XIII or “13” features pilsner malt, dark caramel, wheat, and special dark candi syrup that helps impart intense dark fruit flavors while still allowing for a dry beer. In the Trappist way, we kept this beer natural and slightly hazy to keep body and texture intact, and fermented warm yet controlled with a classic abbey yeast for balanced esters. We get notes of dark caramel, rose and slightly burnt banana peel with a clean, dry finish with slight mineral character.
