Beer description
Description: High-fermentation beer, unpasteurised, re-fermented and matured in cans and kegs.
Appearance: Deep amber colour with ruby reflections, good clarity, ochre foam, compact and persistent.
Olfactory sensations: Aroma with malt, hazelnut, red fruit and biscuit in evidence. As the beer warms up, a light liquorice note also emerges.
Body and Taste: On the palate the elements already found in the olfactory part return, red fruit, caramel, cereals, biscuits, a slight roastiness in addition to the herbaceous part of the "classic" hops used for this recipe. The bitterness, body and carbonation are medium in order to maintain correspondence to the style.
Suggested pairings: The biscuity, malty notes of Queen Olimpia in combination with the herbaceous component of the hopping pairs well with lightly spiced roast chicken or medium mature blue cheeses. A good pairing for the end of the meal can be with oatmeal, sultana and hazelnut cookies.
