Beer description
We aged Imperial Scotch Ale in a bourbon barrel for a year, and then gave this barrel to our friends and neighbors from Brovary - the YoCo roastery. In it, they fermented and aged Colombia Gaitania coffee, from which we, in turn, made a cold brew, which we then added to the same Scotch Ale. The result was a kind of "Recursion" - Imperial Scotch Ale aged in a bourbon barrel with the addition of coffee fermented in the same Scotch ale and bourbon barrel.
We got a rich and dense beer with the aroma of biscuit, vanilla, bourbon, notes of coffee, oak, light wine. The taste is long, with a pleasantly warming alcohol and an aftertaste of coffee sponge cake
