Spontaneous, sour
Fermentation
Beer description
Volupté (from French - sensuality, pleasure) - in winemaking this term is used to refer to one of the types of oak barrels for aging wine. Barrels of this type are well suited for round and smooth wines with a wide range of aromas, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc. It was in Volupté that our sour ale of the same name, fermented using Wyeast 3278 Belgian Lambic Blend, was aged.
Our Volupté has a pleasantly rounded character with notes of overripe grass, hay, soaked apples, oak and an interesting sourness.
