Mogwaï Beer Company - Red Moon Palace

We're continuing our tour of the sub-categories of the great IPA family, and now it's the turn of the Red IPA style to pass through our hairy fingers. Red Moon Palace has a lovely clear red colour, topped with a creamy beige head. The malt base gives off subtle notes of caramel and toast, while the hops are sectarian, with only Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo adding resinous and black fruit notes. In terms of feel, it's rather dry and fairly bitter. What an IPA! In short, a communist IPA, but in the American style.
