Beer description
Following WHITE SPACE, we are delighted to introduce RED SPACE sour cherry wheat beer, our Belgian wheat beer with cherries.
There are already many fruit beers on the market, why did we feel the need to add another one to the range?
When we started our journey into the world of beer, like many others, we were first attracted to Belgian beers; these more classic cherry batches were our first fruit beers. Then we started brewing beer in the kitchen too, we made good progress, slowly the movement that was then called the craft beer revolution (rightly so, it felt revolutionary at the time) started along with us and somehow we forgot about fruit in the world of pints and porters. There were plenty of artificially flavoured and aromatised attempts at home, we tasted them, but we just waved them away, it wasn't our way. The big producers started juicing and even drinking, and the world of domestic double and triple juiced pickles came along at the craft level, and we remembered what we were missing.
RED SPACE is a well-balanced, fragile, dry Belgian sour cherry beer on a apothecary scale. Not a dessert beer. It's not a girly beer (just like it's not a boy beer, what nonsense to associate styles with gender). It's not trying to please anyone. It drinks itself, as they say, with a hint of wheatiness, but its fruitiness is more dominant. For us, it is a very exciting experiment to see if it can find its place in such a saturated market.
