Beer description
House brew is a young beer that is picked up in its own barrels. To mature, it is stored at home in the cellar or another cool place.
Originally, house brewing comes from a time when almost every farmhouse still produced its own malt. The farmers delivered the barley for malting and, in addition to payment, received the right to obtain a portion of the beer made from their barley at a cheaper price.
The unfiltered beer with all vitamins and minerals is filled into barrels after the main fermentation. The secondary fermentation took place at the farmer's. Through the so-called "opening", i.e. the bung is removed for a certain period of time, the secondary fermentation is regulated according to taste and sparkle.
Today, anyone can have their house brew beer filled into their own barrels by appointment. Slightly more bitter in taste, it is particularly popular as a cool refreshment on hot summer days. The filling of the house brew beer takes place every 14 days at our place.
