Elliott Bay - Rum Aged Mashing Pumpkin

We sourced some fun Colombian Rum barrels early in 2020 and placed a few different beers into those barrels to see what fun new combinations we could come up with. The first release from those rum barrels is our Mashing Pumpkin. The Columbian rum is generally lighter in character than those from other places in the world. Flavors of banana and raisins definitely are noticeable from the rum barrel. The pumpkin spices have mellowed after their time in oak, with the ginger coming more forward than the clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
