Beer description

The Dynamite Trail is a 12 km section of abandoned rail line between Martin’s River and the town of Mahone Bay. It was once a small spur line that connected the railway to the “Dynamite Wharf” in Mahone Bay, where casks of dynamite were loaded for transport onto local ships. Legend has it that Young Jack Tanner, a capable and care-free stevedore, fell in love with Sophie Boylan, a ship Captain’s daughter. Just days before they were to be wed, Jack died in an explosion while loading the old Captain’s ship with dynamite. Sophie never recovered from the loss, her heart abandoned much like the old railway line itself. Walk or ride the trail in remembrance of Jack and Sophie and sip a Dynamite Trail Ale to quench your thirst along the way. You might even invite your father-in-law. A real taste of Germany, with aromas of baked bread and refreshing notes of banana and cloves.
